On 28 March 2022, we commenced a trial for carriers to book an earlier Access slot, in addition to or in place of an existing Access slot. The trial has been initially held at Swindon Inward Mail Centre only, and for carriers who are signed up to signed up to the Acceptance by Vehicle schedules of the Access Letters Contract and the Wholesale Parcels Contract.

The trial has so far proven successful for participants, and I am pleased to announce we are extending the trial to 9 September 2022.  We are also widening the trial so that all carriers (i.e. to include those carriers who are not signed up to the Acceptance by Vehicle schedules) across a number of other Mail Centres.  Participants will be able to book an Access slot earlier than the start of the current Access Window. Most of the Mail Centres will have earlier Access slots available from 06:30 to 07:30, making Access available one hour earlier than the current Access Window,
however some Mail Centres will only have an earlier Access slot from 07:00. The annex to this letter shows all of the Mail Centres which we are extending the trial to and the times from which the earlier Access slot will be available.

If you would like to participate you will need to sign up to the trial terms by 29 July 2022. The terms are available upon request from your Account Director, to who you should also inform which Mail Centre(s) you would like the earlier Access slot(s) at.
