ACCESS NOTICE: Trunking Service
09-03-2020
We are pleased to introduce a new Trunking Services optional schedule to the Access Letters Contract and the Wholesale Parcels Contract with effect from 16 September 2020.
The new schedule effects the roll out of a trunking service we have been trialling with carriers since 25 March 2019. We introduced the trial when we opened the new Inverness Mail Centre to better serve the Inverness, Outer Hebrides and Kirkwall postcode areas. It gives carriers an option to handover their Inverness labelled containers at Edinburgh Mail Centre, from where Royal Mail transits such items to the Inverness Mail Centre on behalf of the carrier for a relevant fee.
We are required to inform you of the introduction of the optional schedule in accordance with Clause 13.2.1 of the Access Letters Contract and the Wholesale Parcels Contracts. The changes take effect from 16 September 2020.
Take a read of the customer letter and the respective contract change notices for both contracts.
If you have any queries regarding this change please contact your Account Director.
