How our pricing works
There are different pricing options for Access postings; two price plans with national prices, a regional price plan and a zonal price plan. Take a look at our Quick Guide to Price Plans.

The files below provide the actual prices for each of our Access services*.

Access Letters Contract Compensation Rates
- Compensation Rates effective from 1 July 2024:
- Band 1 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 1.760 pence per item
- Band 2 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 3.771 pence per item
- Compensation Rates effective from 2 April 2024:
- Band 1 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 1.583 pence per item
- Band 2 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 3.391 pence per item
- Compensation Rates effective from 2 January 2024:
- Band 1 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 1.579 pence per item
- Band 2 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 3.382 pence per item
- Compensation Rates effective from 2 October 2023:
- Band 1 Compensation Rate (Standard and Mailmark Economy): 1.574 pence per item

Prices for Postal Common Operations Procedures Agreement (PCOPA)
This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions on which Licensed Operators are to treat misdirected and miscollected mail. Royal Mail, as secretary of PCOPA, is responsible for publishing PCOPA prices.
Prices from 1 January 2023:
PCOPA Item Charge: 11.57p
PCOPA Mail Centre Collection Fee: £2.57
(The postage charge that is applied for customers electing to have the items posted back is 2nd Class. The 1st Class prevailing rates will apply if a customer elects to collect from a Mail Centre and fails to do so after 2 days)
